Pair of antique cherry armchairs France Cherry Directoire around 1800 Dimensions: H x W x D: 87 x 58 x 49 cm, seat height: 43 cm Description: Pair of elegant and interestingly shaped armchairs made of solid cherry. The lines, straight in the front view, give the armchairs an unmistakable and almost modern character. The slightly tapered front legs serve as support posts for the rounded armrests. The rear legs are slightly flared and form the outer frame sections of the upholstered backrest at the top. Subtle carvings can be found at the lower ends of the front legs, the front sections of the armrests and above the connection of the armrests to the backrest. Condition: Refurbished condition with wonderful age patina. The armchairs are absolutely stable and suitable for everyday use. The upholstery fabric has been renewed.
