Pair of Italian Savonarola Dante Curule Chairs
About the Item
A rare, classic vintage pair of curule Savonarola chairs, originally meant for Roman magistrates, is made with now aged tooled and gilded leather backs and a new replacement seat in complementary suede. The beautifully patinated iron frame and brass mounts joining the back rail and armrests gives it added charm and character.
This particular pair boasts of hardware very close to earlier chairs of this particular chair style.
