About the Item

This elegant pair of Art Deco armchairs comes from Czechoslovakia from the first half of the 20th century. They are the work of Jindřich Halabala and were produced in UP Zavody. The construction of the armchairs is made of spruce and beech wood, which is ebonized. The armchairs have undergone careful restoration, during which their original shine and elegance were restored thanks to the high-gloss restoration. The armchairs have been professionally reupholstered with a traditional spring seat. These Art Deco armchairs are ideal for those looking for furniture with history and style. They are beautiful and functional pieces of furniture that will adorn any interior. Designed by Jindrich Halabala, a renowned designer credited with ushering in the mass market production of furniture in his native Czechoslovakia. Made by UP Zavody, a well-known Czechoslovakian furniture manufacturer and dealer based in Brno. It has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process. This item features classic Art Deco elements. Art Deco is a style that originated in France in the early 20th century. Its furniture designs are meticulously crafted, usually using exotic woods. Pieces are typically lacquered to give off a dazzling gloss. These eloquently crafted pieces will add visual performance and posh to any interior.
