Rare Art Deco Armchairs by J. Halabala, Model H269, 1930s, Set of 2

About the Item

Set of two Art Deco armchairs designed by famous Jindrich Halabala in 1930s in Czechoslovakia. One of his iconic models, H269. The armchairs have been professionally restored, reupholstered in high quality fabric and all the foam and internal upholstery has been replaced however the original springs constructions remained preserved in very good original condition. Their construction, made from bent beechwood, highlights the exceptional craftsmanship of Czech furniture-making. The wooden elements have been cleaned and refinished in traditional method of shellac and wax that gave them natural and classy look. The armchairs are very comfortable and ready for everyday use.
