Set of 2 Art Deco Lounge Chairs After William Haines / Billy Haines, USA, 1940s
About the Item
Attention designers! Introducing an exquisite pair of low-profile lounge chairs, inspired by the designs of William "Billy" Haines, embodies the elegance and sophistication of 1940s American design. Featuring an open barrel-back and saber-leg design, the chairs' frames are finished in original black lacquered wood, showcasing a pleasing patina consistent with their age.
Upholstered in original fabric reminiscent of Jack Lenor Larsen's creations, the geometric pattern incorporates taupe, olive, brown, red, and black hues, adding a vibrant yet refined aesthetic. This set is ideal for collectors or as a distinctive addition to an interior design project and are able to blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Art Deco to Contemporary to Streamline Modern and everything in between. Make them yours today before they're gone forever.

The original fabric does show some signs of vintage wear including areas where the well-chord is fraying as well as areas of minor discoloration and fading (all of which can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). As purists we strive to retain our pieces in as original condition as possible, however we do offer in-house upholstery services. If you're interested in re-upholstering this set in a fabric of your choosing please message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing.
This artfully designed and crafted set of armchairs is incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for decades more of use.
