Set Of Four French Early 19th Century Directoire St. Patinated Wood Armchairs

About the Item

An elegant set of four French early 19th century Directoire st. Patinated wood armchairs. Each wonderful chair is raised by circular tapered front legs with two mottled bands and ending with a ball shaped support at the front. The back legs are square tapered shaped with a slight curve. The top of the front legs are decorated by a carved rosette below a reeded block and turned cylinder arm with mottled bands. The upholstered arms are finished with a top carved rosette and lead to the scrolled upholstered back. All original painted finish throughout with a nice and attractive patina and natural wear.
