What... a... find, in the million or so of these types of chairs that have been made over the last 280+ years, this is the only one I have ever seen, that has ever been pictured, that has the table arm, this will no doubt end up in a museum or some important private collection, I was absolutely blown away when I saw it
The timber is glorious Elm, the patina especially to the seat base is exquisite, this is pure art furniture from every angle, it dates to the mid to late 19th century so 1860-1880
This chair has been lightly cleaned waxed and polished, the frame has been checked and secured, it is in lovely condition throughout.
