About the Item

19th century Victorian carved oak bench circa 1890. Victorian bench made from earlier elements, named and dated 1775.  Pegged base supports elements from an 18th century coffer, the victorians were well known for re-purposing and altering period furniture. Ideal for use in the hallway. Age splits to seat and back rest, knot hole to seat, expected surface marks.
