About the Item
Inspired by an antique French, Louis XVI window bench or daybed. Hand carved wooden frame with a grayish white finish, low guards to either end padded at the top and curving down to the rectangular base. Newly professionally upholstered loose seat cushion and two round bolsters in a blue-grey velveteen upholstery. The frame has incised detailing and apron in the neoclassical style. The seat is supported by elegant circular fluted tapered legs ending with a topie shaped feet. Finished on all sides, excellent joinery and craftsmanship with solid joinery and a lovely aged patina on the painted finish. This bench would be an absolute dream at the foot of the bed, in the sitting room, or in the entryway.
This bench can be reupholstered if desired. The experienced craftsman of our in-house atelier are specialist on re-upholstery of design furniture. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. Inquire for details.
