About the Item

Unique pair of French mid-century hand-carved stools or benches in the style of Jean Michel Frank. The pieces feature dramatic hand chiseled wood with natural deep channeling that shows the rough character of the wood. The structure forms a X with both sides of the base intersecting and supporting each other. The seats are natural cowhide and attached to the frame by large round bronze tacks.
