pair of large hand-carved and painted wooden swan jardinières / planters, this fantastic pair are every bit as graceful as the actual bird they depict, based on the curved neck and downward pointing bill, this is most likely a mute swan, which is native to much of Europe, including Northern Italy, the wings are displayed addorsed, meaning they are raised and spread behind the back, as if about to engage in flight, beneath each bird is an oval plinth with cavetto molding, the interior openings can house an 8" pot, both functional and decorative, our pair of large, carved wooden swans...

Nice vintage 1970’s John Vesey X Bench. Oak sides. Good vintage original condition. Quite a few scratches to the steel surfaces. This bench is from a wonderful Palm Springs estate filled with an incredible collection of modern masters of art including Warhol, Rauschenberg, Hockney, Stella and others.
