About the Item

Pair of Scandinavian painted pine benches circa 1890. Good quality rustic pair of swedish painted benches made in pine.  These almost certainly would have been on rail station or somewhere similar. 2 plank backs with a 2 plank seat, each supported by 3 trestle legs.  The pine was painted in a brown wash which is now showing obvious signs of wear. Ideal for use, in a large hallway or venue. Expected surface marks to woodwork and losses and fading to paint effect. Seat height: 18" Seat depth: 12"
