About the Item

Primitive carved wood bench with six splayed legs. Hand-carved piece with naturally weathered surface. Pieces like this are Folk Art in nature and mix with leather furniture and one of a kind art. We love to mix Naturalist furniture with high end luxury pieces. They balance each other and demonstrate a confidence in the art of interior design. This piece is sturdy and can be well-utilized for seating. We've tested it for weight of an occasional 200 approximate pounds. It would be perfect at the foot of a bed, an entry hall or as a coffee/cocktail table. The strength comes from the crafted "through" joint that goes all the way through the top surface, rather than a more conventional connection with a few screws underneath.
