About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original Regency style giltwood famboo chair
I have a matching pair of this exact model listed under my other items and then this single one. I also have a pair of later Regency chairs with the original finished listed under my other items
A very good looking and collectable occasional chair. This is Edwardian, circa 1910
It has been re-gilded at some point, the frame is famboo which means fake bamboo, at the latter part of the 18th to the early part of the 19th century Chinese furniture started to be imported into England, they’re designs and styles were quickly adopted by our craftsman and mirrored, we were carving bamboo designs in pine and oak
