Danish Daybed Model FD 451 by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard

About the Item

Danish Daybed Model FD 451 by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France and Søn in 1956. Full upholstery restoration by our professional partner specializing in 20th-century furniture. The mattress and cushions have been restored to their original condition. To ensure greater comfort, HR foam and wadding have been added: retaining the original while improving it. This FD 451 model is therefore unique, with its new powdered snow bouclette upholstery by the French firm Casamance. Stamped with the publisher's crests. Structure in solid teak and cane in very good condition. Ingenious conversion system: the armrests are tilted using a brass knob that unlocks a sliding bar. This makes it possible to convert it into a daybed or an occasional bed. All in very good vintage condition. L: 162 cm H: 75 cm h seat 43cm. D: 80 cm. Unfolded length 220 cm.
