Marc Sadler gets inspiration for ancient Japanese Origami, the art of folding papers. Kami Ichi is a low chair with folds and cuts, a perfect synthesis between abstraction and the essence of traits. Thanks to its features, Sadler creates a whole collection inspired by ancient Japanese art. All the products of the collection are furnished with extremely sophisticated indoor and outdoor spaces, contract and home settings. It is available in standard, lacquered and luminous versions. Our stories happen in places precious to us. SLIDE was born from the desire to produce furniture and light to create the perfect atmosphere that highlights emotions. It means giving a personal imprint to indoor and outdoor spaces. It means choosing your ideal element that is the perfect setting for emotions and experiences, which become indelible memories. The founder Giò Colonna Romano knows this well, combining his fervent imagination with thirty years of know-how in the processing of plastic resins, giving birth to SLIDE in 2002. The first note of amazement is the luminous furniture, which immediately became a must have in the world of events. Since 2015, his son Marco Colonna Romano has taken over the reins of the company, with the same desire to grow and innovate as his father. Thanks to a new panache and the team of young people it surrounds itself with, SLIDE becomes a beloved company for outdoor furniture: new shapes, materials and tactile textures have won the hearts and ideas of architects and interior designers around the world. SLIDE has thus created complete collections and furnishings, with new shapes, whose lines arise from collaboration with internationally renowned designers of the caliber of Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Stefano Giovannoni, Fabio Novembre, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid, Marc Sadler, Francesco Favaretto and Marcantonio. New materials were chosen and inserted, initially soft and rigid polyurethane, and then comfortable cushions, waterproof fabrics, tactile textures ideal for completing the polyethylene furnishings with taste and class. But SLIDE does not forget its first essence, lighting: in recent years it has developed a line of much more technical lamps for large areas, essential in shape but with great visual impact. For the first time, Slide has managed to give an artisanal twist to an industrial process: to meet the increasingly high demands of living, the production creates non-replicable shades, in which every small imperfection enhances the industrial process and makes each piece unique . Because Slide's strength has always been the careful reading of the market, the creation of something that didn't exist and which then became necessary: here Slide continues its production in Buccinasco, on the outskirts of Milan, but its name and its products reach more than 130 countries around the world.
