Oversized chair that can be attributed to Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier. . Memphis period. . There is no validated attribution to date but it very closely resembles their work and it dates from the years 1980/85. The chair is in good condition despite a mark that appears on the seat as you can see in a photo. Some scratches on the round seat of the chair are visible . On the other hand, slight signs of wear appear at the back on the bottom of the chair legs. . Dimensions : Height : 150 cm Seat height : 47cm Depth : 48cm Width : 48cm Round diameter of the seat : 48cm . Paolo Pallucco and Mireille Rivier, architects who know how to leave a precise trace of their passage. At the beginning of the 1980s, they emerged from the international scene thanks to a non-conformist approach to the world of design. These lucid designers like to confront atypical designers to create unique products. . The Memphis Group, established in Italy during the 1980s, is an influential design and architecture movement. . The group was founded in Milan by Ettore Sottsass on December 11, 1980, and its members resolved to reconvene with their projects in February 1981. It then counted among its members Michele De Lucchi, Matteo Thun, Marco Zanini, Aldo Cibic , Andrea Branzi, Shiro Kuramata, Michael Graves, Peter Shire, Javier Mariscal, Barbara Radice, Martine Bedin, George J. Sowden, Masanori Umeda and Nathalie du Pasquier1. It disbanded in 1988.
