English Anglo-Chinese Aesthetic Movement chair made by William Watt Godwin
About the Item
Rare English Aesthetic Movement side chair in the Chinese taste made by William Watt of London and attributed to E. W. Godwin. Godwin's Anglo-japanese designs for William Watt are well documented, it is known that he also designed Chinese style furniture but to date very little has surfaced.

- Condition:Reupholstered. Repaired: The chair had later added steel support brackets removed and then re-glued correctly to make the chair structurally sound. Some small repairs to woodwork. The seat and back pad have been re-upholstered to calico ready for a top fabric of choice. Wear consistent with age and use.
