Rare English Aesthetic Movement side chair in the Chinese taste made by William Watt of London and attributed to E. W. Godwin. Godwin's Anglo-japanese designs for William Watt are well documented, it is known that he also designed Chinese style furniture but to date very little has surfaced.

  • Condition:
    Reupholstered. Repaired: The chair had later added steel support brackets removed and then re-glued correctly to make the chair structurally sound. Some small repairs to woodwork. The seat and back pad have been re-upholstered to calico ready for a top fabric of choice. Wear consistent with age and use.
