Mid-Century Modernist Sculptural Hand-rubbed Walnut Desk Chair by Paolo Buffa

About the Item

This sleek and stylish chair by esteemed Mid-Century Modernist designer Paolo Buffa originates from italy, Circa 1950. A rare and elegant piece, the sculptural and aesthetic quality is firmly cemented in the development of Italian Modernist design. With tapered legs and back supports joining the upholstered seat and backrest. The arms are gorgeous, carefully carved and exandin in width anticipating the natural flare of the elbows, they taper inwards and then subtly expand in a rounded ommel, sumptuous and comfortable in the hand. The surface subtly gleams in a sophisticated hand-rubbed finish unifying the piece and bringing out the strength of the solid walnut from which its composed. In Mint Restored Condition.
