About the Item

Elegant and timeless pair of Model 71 dining chairs designed by Niels Otto Møller and produced by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, Denmark, circa 1950s. Crafted in solid teak, the chairs feature Møller’s signature organic lines, gently sculpted backrests, and seamless joinery, hallmarks of Danish modern craftsmanship. The sculpted back offers excellent lumbar support, while the tapering legs and continuous frame demonstrate the designer’s devotion to proportion and detail. The seats have been newly reupholstered in a luxurious bouclé tweed fabric in neutral ivory tones, woven with subtle golden threads that complement the warmth of the teak wood. The restoration was carried out by skilled upholsterers in France, respecting the original structure and dimensions. Both chairs are in very good condition, showing a beautiful patina on the teak frame and newly restored seats. A quintessential example of Niels Otto Møller’s refined modernism, functional, sculptural, and perfectly balanced, ideal for a dining room, desk, or side seating arrangement.
