Søren Hansen, Rare Sofa / Bench Model 2240 for Fritz Hansen, 1939

About the Item

Two-seat sofa, model 2240, made of Beech wood designed by Søren Hansen in 1939 and manufactured by Fritz Hansen. A rare find and very collectable piece. As a sculptural piece, this lovely sofa/bench could find a place in any impressive house, standing in a lobby, or a living room as well, and could also be perfect standing in a bedroom or a dressing room. Very good condition. Original pieces from the 1930s newly re-upholstered in the traditional way by the best French craftsmen, we used a high quality velvet fabric from Kvadrat Raf Simons' collection and new foams. We can particularly appreciate the work and savoir-faire of our team of upholsterers respecting the original design, using the right proportions and lines as Søren Hansen designed it in the 30's. Additional photos and videos available on demand. Worldwide Express deliveries by air freight are available on all our items.
