About the Item
Pair of 19th century mahogany Gainsborough chairs. This pair of chairs makes such a statement! They are elegant and yet very comfortable for sitting for long periods of time.
The arms are hand carved from mahogany and terminate in carved scrolls with carved leaves and beading on the base of the arm. The legs are splayed on the front and back of the chairs, and also expertly hand carved and shaped for added design interest. The feet end in hand carved scrolls.
These are wonderfully elegant chairs that will look at home in any richly appointed home or office.
