A pair of English Regency style oak Klismos chairs from the 19th century, with carved scrolling decor, geometric inlay and old fabric. Created in England during the 19th century, each of this pair of Regency style Klismos chairs features a horseshoe back adorned with carved scrolling motifs. The upper rail is inlaid with two-toned medallions depicting stylized rosettes and the knees with quadrilobes. The horseshoe back is supported by striking Corinthian columns. The seats are covered with a red fabric decorated with various animals including lions and foxes.
