Pair of Qing Dynasty Elm Chairs

About the Item

Chinese Qing dynasty chairs in light Elm. Mid 19th century construction featuring mortise and tenon joinery and wooden nails. Elegant craftsmanship the detail of the detail of curved arms. All parts of the chairs are smooth and have a natural patina. There are some old small remnants of black paint. Old repairs do not detract from the overall beauty of these chairs. The backs have a carving that is a stylized dragon. Priced and sold as a pair.
