Designed over a series of late-night emails between longtime friends, the pnKRck lounge chair is the result of interior designer Kelly Behun and fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez considering the nature of a chair and the many possibilities it presents. The influence of Rodriguez, a master of elegant minimalism and restraint, married with Kelly’s impulse to subvert the expected, resulted in a chair that starts as one thing and ends as another — a collision of ideas and materials, from linen and suede to lacquer and oak. With a seat that appears to float and a single elongated arm, the chair has a sculptural quality and an asymmetry that forces you to sit in a way that feels slightly unfamiliar. Made to order.
