About the Item
This chair brings together several recurring themes in my work — the meeting of cylindrical and flat planes, structural balance, and quiet symmetry. The two rounded back posts stand in deliberate contrast to the flat legs, creating a sense of dialogue and tension in the form. The seat mirrors this balance, its proportions feeling both grounded and minimal. A thin line of naturally red wood cuts through the top of one post, an understated detail that hints at a deeper narrative running through my collection without overwhelming the simplicity of the design. Crafted from solid walnut, the piece functions as much as an accent or sculptural object as it does a seat — designed to live comfortably beside a desk, in an entryway, or as a standalone object within a room.
