Set Of 4 Dutch Baroque Style Marquetry Side Chairs For Restoration
About the Item
Set of four Dutch baroque style marquetry side chairs with black leather-like drop in seats. The chairs with shaped inlaid crests above a back splat encrusted with florals, birds, urns and leaf inlaid motifs. The back splats with center birds two facing to the left and two facing to the right. The heavily carved legs are conjoined with sinuous cross-stretchers and terminating on ball and claw front feet.

Condition: Various signs of age, the chairs with veneer losses to the back rests and cresting rails, noticeable scratches on verso, old repairs and stable age cracks. Good joinery. Wear consistent with age and use. Please see photos for details of condition.
