SUPERB Antique Gustav Stickley Bent Arm Morris Chair- W8067 SALE NOW SALE

About the Item

Antique Gustav Stickley Bent Arm Morris Chair - W8067 This is a SUPERB Gustav Stickley Bent Arm Morris Chair Model 369 from the early 1900s (1907?) in excellent condition. The chair is marked with a red Gustav Stickley decal. Gustav Stickley was a great artist. All of the furniture he made was "Through Tenon" & Pinned. This is why furniture from 125 years ago still looks brand new. Reproduction furniture uses glue to "fool" buyers that it is "Through Tenon" construction. In the last 50 years or so, many Gustav Stickley and L&JG Stickley pieces have sold for $100,000 or more. They are true collectibles, but need to be in perfect shape and "untouched" condition. This is what makes them investment pieces. This Morris Chair was made with real through tenon construction. It still has the original finish. The original spring seat was recovered in light brown before we purchased the chair (as you can see in the photos). We think it would look better with custom hand-split black leather. We will recover the cushions and re-fill them with wool and hair (no sponge) for $195.00. WE like this Gustav Stickley model because it is extremely bulky. Pinned all around. All adjustment pins are original. There are no cracks or other repairs on this piece. Shipping and handling to your home in the lower 48 states - $799.00. (Contact us and we'll work to lower that number depending on your location.) W8067
