Pair of large Low Channel Back Club Chairs in Red Mohair Danish 1940s
About the Item
Classic Danish large-scale club or lounge chair very similar the rare model 1518b by Fritz Hansen. Made in the late 1930 to early 1940s. This chair has a low scalloped backrest and higher armrests which provides for very cool lines. We love the wide low proportions. Super comfortable with coil springs in both backrest and seat cushion. Very solid and sturdy construction on a frame of beechwood. Strong presence and great statement piece to anchor a large room. Overall very good condition with the pair having been reupholstered in a red mohair at a later point. The fabric remains in very good clean usable condition with just minor wear. We offer re-upholstery services on this chair at a very competitive cost.
