Hello, This elegant and truly exceptional Viennese Biedermeier recamiere / daybed was made in circa 1825. Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design, excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design. This large, early Biedermeier daybed has a lovely cherry wood / veneer accentuated by a light amber tone and 200 years old patina. The upholstery beautifully emphasizes the warm amber shade of the cherry wood. This stunning Biedermeier piece was a part of a collection belonged to Lichtrnau Castle near Vienna. It is truly amazing how much modern design and refined proportions this 200 year old piece has. The daybed is very comfortable. We are providing a Certificate of Authenticity.
