About the Item
“Godot” daybed attributed to Pierre Chapo, 1950s France. Also known as the L01. Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) designed this daybed in 1959 for the writer Samuel Becket and named it ‘Godot’, in reference to the play ‘Waiting for Godot’. Chapo is known for his use of solid elmwood and pure and clean design and construction principles. This daybed is made of solid wood and has a new matras and neck roll upholstered in a beautiful Bouclé fabric. Frame is in very good vintage condition.
