STACKABL is a configurator that allows anyone to customize furniture online, an innovative system that allows you to turn high-quality, surplus metal, wood, and felt offcuts from our manufacturing partners – located within a 150-mile-radius – into fully finished, custom works ready to be shipped to your home or project.
Aided by algorithms and robotics, the configurator identifies remnant inventory (in the form of metal, wood, and felt) that fits your aesthetic choices. This inventory is then put back through the manufacturers' own machines, and into the hands of their own experts, who execute your design.
In the fall of 2020, Maison Gerard paired with STACKABL to show just what can be accomplished with the configurator. Maison Gerard tapped the talents of six prominent designers, asking them to create pieces of their own within STACKABL.
Drake / Anderson's Madame chaise:
Named after Madame Récamier, the 19th-century French socialite noted for her extreme beauty and intellectual prowess as well as her salon, which drew literary and political luminaries of the time, this Modernist take on the chaise lounge invites conversation and stimulates thought. Handsome streamline modern, Mid-Century Modern, or Industrial style royal blue & vinyl or faux leather and chrome chaise or daybed with adjustable head or back rest. Wonderful condition keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so there will be signs of wear & use. The beautiful original royal blue vinyl has some nicks, holes, & dings, specifically on the four corners, which have been repaired. One of the chrome legs has pitting that has been polished & touched up. And there is a small 1/4 “cut” in the main pad area which we felt was better left alone. Some may want to recover but repairs are minor & look great, so it is priced accordingly. Please see photos & zoom in for details. We attempt to portray imperfections. Circa mid-20th-late 20th century.
Note: The vinyl has been treated with lexol and is ready to use. No dust cover as legs are easily removeable for transporting & storage. However, dust cover is an optional add if you prefer.

The challenge was to build an ambitious design brand from the ground up with high-quality materials and great attention to the little details. With a drive to create new originals, the WOUD collection is founded upon the idea to look ahead instead of looking back and share the love for honest design. MSDS STUDIO is a successful Canadian design studio that works in interior, furniture and lighting design. The designers behind the studio are Jessica Nakanishi and Jonathan Sabine. A couple who have mastered to get their name established at numerous of the world’s leading design brands in a few years. We are proud to be able to have three of their designs in our collection. The studio is dedicated to material exploration, rigour and resourcefulness. With a modern approach to design, they create innovative design that engages contemporary culture while staying true to the inheritance of craftsmanship. Their work synthesises very meticulous considerations of color, form and space, which results in simple designs. The Annular pendant was the product that started the collaboration of MSDS and WOUD.
