19th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut and Cane Dining Armchairs, Set of 6
About the Item
Decorate a dining or breakfast room this elegant suite of antique armchairs. Crafted in France circa 1880, each chair is built of solid walnut and rests gracefully on classic cabriole legs ending with scrolled feet. The refined design includes curved armrests which add both charm and comfort. Each chair showcases a rounded, arched back crowned with an intricately hand-carved floral motif at the pediment. Beneath the wide, deep seat, a bombe apron is decorated with delicate, hand-carved rose motif. Both seat and back are fitted with finely hand-woven cane, providing style, support, and breathability. The six Louis XV style dining chairs are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina along with patinated beige caning.
