About the Item
Classic set of 19th century French dining chairs crafted from mahogany. The set consists of two armchairs and two side chairs the later measuring 21" wide, 20" deep, 37" high, and a 19" inch high seat. Intricately carved featuring a ribbon motif on the round backs and seat aprons. The backs are surmounted with a ribbon carved bow on the tops. The mahogany has a subtle parcel gilt finish and decorated with acanthus on the supports. The seats have carved rosettes on the corners and a bowed front. Upholstered with a velvet material having a floral motif. Supported by elegant tapered and fluted legs ending with toupie feet.
