An absolutely majestic set of ten (10) custom made palm frond style dining chairs, circa 1950. Exceptionally conceived and crafted rattan and hardwood construction with a magnificent back detail. Stout, rigid, comfortable and built for heavy regular use. These pieces were likely commissioned for an incredible hotel or resort. Unique breath-taking art designed to anchor an important dining room. The unmistakable look of pre-Castro Cuba. Excellent Restored Condition. The chairs have been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered; the finish radiates a stunning warmth, depth and luster. The rattan has aged to absolute perfection. All cane accent detail is intact and complete. Expert custom upholstery in a stunning neutral Romo fabric. The chairs are 26 inches at the widest point of the back. The width noted is per the seat.
