Set Of Eight Sheraton Style Carved Shield Back Dining Chairs
About the Item
A particularly fine set of well made Sheraton style Shield Back Dining Chairs. Two arm and six side chairs. The shield backs with interlaced open swags and center tiered feather motifs over bell flowers. Demilune acanthus leaf decorated ends. Raised on square taring legs, splayed in back, with H stretchers. The seats upholstered in a lovely coral pink fabric with yellow palmetttes.
H. 37 3/4", W. 21", Depth 23", seat H. 19"
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are some age-related signs of wear including some scrapes to several legs and stretchers, some scrapes to the back frame edges and arm ends, some light spots on the seats and minor old repairs all mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is refined and stately.
