About the Item
The finely crafted set by L. Hitchcock, CT is dated 1974 and 1976. The classic Hitchcock chairs are painted green with their distinctive gilt stenciled details and also painted with historical names antique images of early presidents' houses in landscapes with figures. A portrait silhouette of each president is on the crest. The chairs include color illustrations of George Washington's Mount Vernon (five chairs), Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, The Adams' Old House (two chairs), and Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. With caned seats.
Dimensions: 35 3/4" high x 17 1/2" wide x 17" deep x 19" high seat
Condition: Please review the detail photos. Several chairs have scrapes with paint losses on the crest rail top edges and the feet. One caned seat is darker than the rest and various acceptable nicks to the frame mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is colorful and fine.
