About the Item
A very lovely set of six dining chairs in dence West Indies mahogany of high quality with well-articulated carvings of scallop and acanthus on crest, rail, and knee. Carved frame of upholstered seat has a serpentine form on all four-side with front cabriole leg ending in Spanish foot and rear legs in saber form, Flemish, circa 1830.
Seats sit well and are comfortable.
Measures: 19.5" wide x 22" deep x 35.5" high (seat height 19.75").
Note: Restored and French-polished with newly upholstered seat in cream-colored, cotton matelasse and Kravet Classic tape for trim.

This set of six dining chairs in mahogany is in very good condition for antiques having been restored and French polished. There may be minor surface imperfections consistent with age and use but there are no mechanical or structural issues.

- Condition:Refinished. Repaired: Some repairs have been had made to the frames on several of the chairs specifically the chair backs but have been expertly done. Photos of these repairs have been included. Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. Chair frames have been restored and French-polished and are in very good condition. Seats have been newly upholstered in a cream-colored, cotton matelasse or pique fabric with Kravet Classic Tape for trim.
