Set of Twelve Italian 19th Century Neoclassical Style Dining Chairs

About the Item

A spectacular and high quality complete set of twelve Italian 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated and giltwood dining chairs. Each chair is raised by handsome giltwood paw feet below square tapered fluted legs and stunning richly detailed winged caryatids. The two elegant rear legs display a lightly curved design while the straight frieze displays intricately carved pierced giltwood diamond patterns set on a patinated background. Above each front leg are beautiful and finely detailed block rosettes. The upholstered back support is flanked by striking columns with foliate carvings and a fluted pattern. All set on a most decorative patinated background with additional foliate giltwood movements. Upholstered in black leather with all original patina throughout. Measure: seat height is 21".
