(2) Teak and Leather Danish Lounge Chairs By John Mortensen
About the Item
This pair of lounge chairs, known as Model 4251, was designed and produced in the early 1970's by John Mortensen for Magnus Olesen. This set is as comfortable as they are stylish, combining the modern aesthetic of leather upholstery with the mid-century design of the teak frame.
The warm toned wood stands out against the pale brown leather in a pleasing and contrasting manner. The puffy leather cushion drapes elegantly over the arms, and is supported by leather straps on the sides and back.
The leather is showing some signs of wear with a well loved vintage patina, and some minor fading and creasing in places. The wood frame itself presents well with only minor signs of wear and faint nicks and dings.
