Chair F780 by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, New Upholstery, 1966

About the Item

Paulin and Artifort developed these sensuous ‘Concorde’ lounge chairs back in 1960. Both chairs have a beautiful new rich high-end Boucle fabric from Larsen and attractive plane chrome base. The chairs offered here are both in the must excellent used condition you can think of, no tears, discoloration or stains. New upholstered, also the foam feels like new. In this condition they will last for another decade at least! During the economic crisis of the late 1920s-1930s, the name ‘Artifort’ was introduced, and from the 1950s and 1960s Artifort got more appreciation by the international market, thanks to designer Kho Liang Ie who recruited the French designer Pierre Paulin, (1927-2009).
