Modern Angular Gray Steel Lounge Armchair with Ottoman, 21st Century

Angular and austere, this lounge chair and matching ottoman are distinctly architectural in form. Special care was taken to eliminate distracting welds or excessive joinery, utilizing break bends to form the steel at a curved radius that matches the softened edges of the feet and tips of the arms. By splitting the arms along the spine and utilizing a 3” depth of foam in the seat back, the chair and matched ottoman provides deep and critical comfort. Like small windows looking through the frame, the squared structure is pierced with long ranges of open space along in the front and rear supports that are mirrored in the floor plate. The form is free of any excess, even a hint of waste or unnecessary embellishment - crafted using 1/4” carbon steel with an Industrial grade powdercoat finish, the form is designed to last indefinitely if well cared for.
For the modern interior where a Stark and uncommon form is necessary for a point of interest, this is a seating piece that certainly prioritizes function and comfort while capturing a unique perspective.
