About the Item

Presenting an attractive loop shape, the Loop Chair was created by the Swiss designer Willy Guhl (1915-2004) in 1954, featuring a single volume of seats and backs. Produced by Eternit, this piece was trendy in Brazil during the 1960s and the 1970s, and it is suitable for indoor and outdoor uses. The chair's fabrication is made from a whole plate of fiber-cement and molding while still fresh. The Loop Chair is produced until today and can be found in the best architecture projects, proof of its success. The Eternit pieces were made originally in grey color but could be painted according to the customer's taste. As a result, it is common to find these vintage pieces with many layers of different paints. This piece is a period original, produced in Brazil around the sixties and restored this year. Pieces received new wood feet – allowing a slight swing – and white paintings.
