Two 1950s Danish Safari Chairs In Oak & Hide Leather by Poul Hundevad

About the Item

A pair of original 1950s folding safari chairs in oak and hide leather by Poul Hundevad for Vamdrup. They feature elegantly curved oak legs with tan hide seats, backs and armrests. The backs are held in place with strong brass buckles. The leather has a beautiful patina. Hundevad's safari chairs excel in their design. Whilst robust they can be easily folded into their compact form, removing any need for disassembly. This improves on Kaare Klint and Arne Norell's versions of the safari chair.
