About the Item
A very fine 19th Century well figured mahogany button back leather revolving office or desk chair of exceptional quality, stunningly hand carved with beautifully rich patination, grain and upholstered throughout in gorgeous deep burgandy leather with studded brass border. The scrolled, cushioned button back is raised over a decorative pierced, moulded fretwork frame flanked with splayed wraparound arms with fluted panelled detail, above a shaped cushioned seat with reeded apron. Supported on quatrefoil revolving base with four elegantly tapering cabriole legs with panelled detail, terminating on brass and ceramic casters.
