1950's Rare Danish Corner Sofa Raised on Beech Legs and Green Mohair Fabric
About the Item
Rare Danish mid-century corner sofa. This sofa was made around 1950 well before corner sofas and sectionals really became a thing and the proportions are reflective of the homes at the times being much smaller than the large homes we build today. Consequently we have a corner sofa that is super charming and relative modest of size. It is 69 inches wide one way and 51 inches on the short side. Strong presence and able to anchor a smaller living room. An absolute statement piece. Has coil springs in both seat and backrest. Sturdy and strong and very supportive and comfortable to sit in. The mohair fabric was added later and remains in clean usable condition with minor signs of wear. Overall very good condition.
