A selection of handsome Laurel Series seating modular sofa sections by August Inc. both straight and wedge pieces. There is a total of 21 sections with 9 wedges and 12 straight sections. These are in the style of the modular curved sofa designed by Don Chadwick for Herman Miller. These pieces are in varying degrees of condition as far as upholstery is concerned so we have priced them as needing upholstered. The black bases have all been restored and the padding is great in each piece. We are pricing them for the total of 21 pieces. However, we will consider selling less. Please see photos. Circa 1980s-1990s. Note: Our photographer has done a mock-up of how a sofa would look if reupholstered. Please see the final photo. And there is only one section with one arm. All the others are armless. Curves, undulations, and versatility…oh my! That is what this modular sectional sofa is all about! We couldn’t pass up these fabulous modular sofas, or shall I say seating sections, and couldn’t wait to offer them to you. They are done in the style of the Don Chadwick designed sofa for Herman Miller, but these are made by August Inc. The Seating Specialist and from their Laurel Series. We are offering them to you all for one price. There are 9 wedge sections and 12 straight sections with one of those having an arm, for a total of 21 sections. Most of the pieces need new upholstery so…they are priced assuming you will recover. There is a myriad of ways to configure the sections and we have tried to show you several in our photos. We have also done a mock-up of how a sofa will look when done all one color. I can envision a set of these scattered about a loft apartment or in a great room and then pulled together when needed. Or two slightly curved sofas facing each other in front of a fireplace. Or…or…or!! Sky’s the limit. Make this modular sectional sofa yours!!! Straight section: Total 12 ? Height – 30.5 inches ? Gorgeous vintage mid-century modern turquoise Lawson style 4 cushion sofa attributed to Milo Baughman for James Inc. Comprised of four loose zippered seat cushions, six tapered walnut legs, and turquoise hopsacking fabric with back button detail. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The sofa deck has new fabric plus a new dust cover. It also has its original arm covers. We repaired a button with fabric found on bottom. It has been professionally shampooed. Legs were refinished. The foam in the cushions is soft, however it could use some more padding and new zippers. It has four loose seat cushions with soft foam, but they could benefit from a bit more padding which would be easily achieved as they have zippers.
