Fantastic pair of Artifort F598 lounge chairs by Pierre Paulin in 1973. This model, is also known as ‘Groovy’ or ‘M chair’ following its characteristic shape. This stunning pair has been reupholstered in beautiful high quality bouclé, which has a soft beige/ cream color. These neutral tones, texture and soft shapes which will fit into any space. To the present day, the ‘Groovy’ chair remains a coveted collector’s piece, a timeless testament to Pierre Paulin’s visionary design. Born in Paris in 1927, French designer Pierre Paulin studied stone carving and clay modeling at the École Camondo
in Paris in the early 1950s. He is perhaps best known for his collaboration with Artifort, which began in 1958 and lasted approximately half a century. This relationship resulted in several iconic pieces, including his famed Mushroom Chair (1959), Ribbon Chair (1966), and Tongue Chair (1968).
