On offer on this occasion is a supremely-rare, superb George Smith "Conversation Piece" four-seat deep-buttoned sofa, dressed in a peerless, elegant, top-grade and sensationally-tactile raspberry red Italian velvet, and trimmed with a pewter and silver bullion fringe. As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this listing, George Smith pieces are the epitome of classic English furniture design, are of peerless quality and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard. In a world of temporary pleasures, George Smith create beautiful furniture built to last a lifetime and, dressed in this sublime cloth, there can be no more refined, eye-catching example of their talents than this! This piece is in superb, impeccably-maintained condition and, aside from some small, isolated, light marks to the fabric, is entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. Its fine order reflects the TLC and remarkably-infrequent use afforded it in the past and, apart from the marks mentioned, is as pristine in every regard as is possible to conceive. Regarding the colour of this gorgeous Italian Velvet, the final close-up image provided is definitely the best representation of the hue of red it possesses, as the majority of the images are far more-red-than-raspberry than the cloth appears in reality (caused and due to the light conditions present at the time of taking the images).
