Pair of 18th Century French Louis XV Giltwood Side Chairs Upholstered - Gold

About the Item

A pair of early 18th century Louis XV chairs. Displaying carved walnut giltwood frames that have worn beautifully over the years - featuring shaped padded backs and seats within foliate carved frames and shell decoration throught. Upholstered in a late 19th-century velvet and silk baroque fabric, raised on cabriole legs terminating on hoof feet. In good overall condition, with signs of age and wear to the silk upholstery - see images. Measures: Height - 106cm Seat Height - 47cm Width - 57cm Depth - 58cm.
